1. Who we are
Wauto Sale (, ) runs wautosale.com and is the data controller for the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy through our contact form or by email at .
2. What we collect
- When you sign up with email: your full name, username, email address and password. Your password is turned into a one-way hash before it is saved, so it is never stored as you typed it.
- When you sign up with Google: your name, verified email address and Google account ID, which our server confirms directly with Google. You choose your username yourself.
- While you use your account: your coin balance, XP, level, the number of games you've opened, your recently played games, when you last collected the daily bonus, the date you joined, your last login and a count of failed login attempts.
- When you contact us: your name, email, topic and message.
We never ask for or store card or bank details.
3. Where it is kept
Your account is stored on our own server as a protected file that cannot be opened from the web. Your details are not kept in your browser, and the website never shows database tables or queries to anyone.
Form log: each time a form is submitted (sign-up, login, contact, Player Care, daily bonus, account deletion) our server adds a short entry to a private log file — the date, which form, whether it succeeded, and the name, username, email and message you entered. Passwords are never written to the log. The log helps us check that messages arrived and to spot misuse.
Messages from the contact and Player Care forms are emailed from our server to our support inbox through our email provider so we can reply.
4. Why we use it
- To create and run your account (our contract with you)
- To keep the site secure, including the login lock-out and spotting abuse (our legitimate interests)
- To reply to your messages and handle Player Care requests (our legitimate interests)
- To make sure Wauto Sale is only used by adults in the UK (legal and legitimate interests)
We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
5. Who we share it with
- Our hosting provider, which runs the server your account is stored on.
- Our email provider, which delivers contact and Player Care messages to our inbox.
- Google, only if you choose Google sign-in. Google's privacy policy applies to that.
- Google Fonts, which supplies the fonts on our pages and can see your IP address when they load.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Your account is kept until you delete it from My account or ask us to delete it — deletion removes your account file from our server immediately. Messages and log entries are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted, unless we need them longer to deal with a complaint.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. 8. Security
Forms are sent over HTTPS, checked on our server, and refused if they come from another website. Passwords are hashed, failed logins are limited, and your session cookie can't be read by page scripts. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
9. Under-18s
Wauto Sale is not for anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18 we will delete it.
10. Changes
We'll update this page if anything changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
